From the Desk of Dawn Frazier
On behalf of the Board of Directors and members of the Greater Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, welcome to the Chamber and our brand new website. It has been an honor to serve as President of the Chamber for the past two years. Together, with all of the Board members, we wlll continue to turn this Chamber into a well refined organization. This Chamber offers many benefits to our local businesses.
Currently, we offer great membership pricing, networking breakfasts, business & social events to host and attend, Business Exhibitions, our Annual Business Awards Gala and Outstanding Teachers' Awards Banquet and so much more. By attending these events, our members and businesses have the ability to connect with other businesses that suit their needs and in turn grow and prosper. In regards to our newly revamped website, it is now more user friendly and another avenue for members to connect, advertise their businesses, post job openings, and more.
As a an owner of two businesses myself, I can speak first hand about the advantages and benefits of being a member of the Chamber of Commerce. I am President of Santa's Helpers which is a small non-profit organization that helps to provide underprivileged children and senior citizens in our area with toys, gifts, clothes and food at Christmas. I work with the school system, senior centers and other local and state organizations to identify individuals and families in need of help. In addition, my husband, Wayne and I own Insurance Claims Specialist, LLC which is a licensed Public Adjusting Firm. We assist property owners with the filing of their insurance claims to insure that they receive their maximum allowances under their insurance policies.
It is very important to me and vital to our organization for me to hear from all of you. We want not only to meet your expectations but to succeed them and to provide you with the greatest value; therefore, I am asking all members to share your suggestions for new programs and provide your feedback regarding your experiences with the Chamber. I welcome all comments and suggestions that you may have that will allow us to better promote and serve you, our members.
I am very excited about the upcoming year and look forward to working with all of you and our local civic and elected leaders to develop a more prosperous and vibrant community. Our businesses depend on community and vice versa. During my tenure as President, the Board of Directors, our Executive Director, Vicki Young, and I have been focused on taking the Chamber to new heights! Each step that we have taken over the past two years has created a strong foundation on which to build a thriving organization. I hope that you will be become an active member in the Chamber by attending events, joining committees and considering a position on the Board of Directors. Our Chamber is only as strong as our membership and I believe the Greater Dundalk community is a mighty force.
My team and I look forward to working with you and seeing our Chamber and its membership grow! Wishing each of you every success in 2020.
